Thanksgiving 2011

We missed Julie and Rick and Cody, Tim and Matthew, the Lewises, Jewells and Eberles and their families and Will and Ally.

As Rachel said, we counted our blessings. Arms that hug, faith, football, hot tubs, doctors, miracles, new family members, mashed potatoes, God, Mommies, and many more were shared.

We learned some new things about one another in a Thanksgiving story starter "game" - Adam politically considers he is right; and has changed cause at first he wasn't so sure, but now he likes us; Lee won a modeling contest and was Little Mister Wee and had a sash and received $200!; Pam's first crush was somebody Johnson and her first home away from parents is the same address where she lives now; Katie's favorite movies are Disney ones; Tracy's first music player was a Jack-in-the-Box and it played "All Around the Mulberry Bush" and his  favorite movie star is Charlton Heston; Jennifer's favorite teen music was Desiree; Judy's first job was taking care of Bobby and Billy; Dad's favorite memory of school was recess and when asked his first date was with... he said he has slept since then!; Rachel's first pet was Clifford and we agreed one of  her best features is her hair; Joseph thinks his grandparents are heartwarming and Bob thinks his parents are faithful; I was named after Mary (Marie); Jenni's parents told her she was a chubby baby; Emily recalls her siblings hugging her a lot when she was little;  Allison met her mate when he looked across the street out his blinds to see if she was home; Jan remembers Bobby and Billy hauling pea pods in their trucks; Luke is happiest when he is with his friends, Christina craves chocolate; Amanda's proudest moment was having Nathan; Stephanie is most at peace in church; Mom's chores growing up was milking the cows morning and night and hauling wood; David wanted to grow up and be a grandpa so he could play golf.  Good food, good company, and 71 degree weather!
